The Galaxy Tree Lighting will now take place on Wednesday, November 26 at 7:30 PM in The Tower III Lobby. The event, sponsored by the Social and Cultural Committee, features holiday songs and a sing-along with the Galaxy Singers, hot cider, light refreshments and surprises for the children.

On Thanksgiving Day the pool will be closed. The Fitness Center will be hand reader accessible from 5:00 AM until Noon. No staff will be on duty. Friday, November 28, 2003 the Spa will be open from 7:00 AM until 9:00 PM. There will be no morning exercise class and no Friday night movie. Saturday and Sunday will revert back to usual hours - from 7:00 AM until 9:00 PM.

In an effort to conserve electricity, we have installed photoelectric light sensors in the laundry rooms. We are testing the sensors and working out the kinks. Lights will go on automatically as soon as you walk into the room. Please do not touch the sensors, as that will alter the settings. The lights will remain on as long as they sense motion in the room.

No movie will be shown on Friday, November 28, 2003. The movie for Friday, December 6 is Anger Management starring Jack Nicholson and Adam Sandler. Movies start at 8:15 PM unless otherwise indicated.

Elisabeth Morrow School in Englewood has offered to come to the Galaxy for a reception to explain about the school and answer any questions. The school spans Nursery (3 yrs) to 8th grade. We would like to ascertain how many families might be interested in attending a reception. The Republican Club meetings on Wednesday, November 19, and Wednesday, December 17th have been postponed because of the Thanksgiving Holiday and the GTCA Bylaws Vote Meeting. We have rescheduled a Nov-Dec Republican Club Meeting for Wednesday, December 10th at 8:00 pm in Spa Room 3. Holiday Refreshments will be served. Our lobbies have limited storage space for packages that are received for residents. Please pick up your packages promptly when notified. If you know that you will be away and are expecting a package, please leave a "Permission to Enter" and our staff, accompanied by Security will deliver your package and place it inside your apartment door. Effective immediately, large packages will no longer be left in the lobbies but will be transferred to a safe holding location.

The Galaxy Singers group is looking for people who like to sing and would like to be part of our holiday celebrations here at the Galaxy. Regular Monday meetings will resume on Monday September 8, 8 PM in Spa Room #3. No experience or music training is required.
