EXTENDED SUMMER HOURS START JULY 7, 2003
The new waterproofing membrane will be installed in the next several weeks, and then tested repeatedly to ensure watertightness. The manufacturer's representative has been on site many times to see that the job is done to manufacturer's specifications. Once the waterproofing is complete, the berm will be professionally landscaped.
LOCK BOX UPDATE
After months of planning, we are now ready to initiate our Lock Box service with Fleet Bank. Before we officially make the change for all units, we are performing multiple tests that started with our Tower I Residents who received their new statements with this past billing cycle. To ensure that the test is accurate, we ask for your cooperation by not using the Tower Mail service or the Fleet Bank Mall Branch office for your monthly remittance.
We would like to thank our Tower I residents for their cooperation, and tell you that we are aware of the shortcomings with our new statements. Due to the current size of the remittance portion of the statement, only eight chargeable entries can be shown. Line entries above that number or items charged to your apartment during the past month are being lumped together and posted to the new statement as "arrears". Please rest assured we know most of you are not in arrears. We are continuing to work with our accounting software in an attempt to more closely replicate our old "blue" format statement before we do a complete conversion.
The only significant change to your process is in the mailing. Instead of sending your payments to our office, you will send them directly to our bank. Our bank will then process your payment and send us a report for our records. Similar to your other monthly bills, the payments must be mailed to the appropriate address where they are opened and properly credited.
Although we recognize that this may cause initial inconvenience, there are many benefits to this system. For example, the new system will allow the Accounting Department to focus on more important functions such as collections of past due accounts, accurate garage billing, quarterly and year end financial reporting and more detailed and timely financial reporting.
We hope to be finished with the testing phase in the next two months. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call Mary Ellen at 201/453-2412 or Linda at 201/453-2414.
