GALAXY MANAGEMENT OFFICE IS CLOSED ON GOOD FRIDAY, APRIL 18, 2003
THERE WILL BE NO BUS SERVICE ON GOOD FRIDAY, APRIL 18, 2003 . Effective April 21, 2003 the 8:30 AM bus will be changed to 8:15 AM.
BOARD OF EDUCATION - VOTE!
The election for the Board of Education will be held on April 15th in the Galaxy Movie Theater between 2:00 PM and 9:00 PM. Your vote is important. Please vote.
New MALL/MANAGEMENT OFFICE SHORTCUT CLOSED
In an effort to increase our security, there will no longer be open access between the mall and the Management Office. You can still have indoor access to the mall by using the garage elevators. This will increase our security, as anyone coming from the mall will have to come through the lobby, where they will be screened.
New CHANGES IN PROTOCOL FOR ADDED SECURITY
Management is looking closely at ways to give added security to our residents in many facets of Galaxy life. We will be announcing changes to our elevator reservation policy, our move-in/out and delivery policies, and unit alteration policies in the coming weeks.
KEY FOBS
The fob installation is complete. If you do not have the new key fobs, you will not have access through the garage doors. Only residents who complete and return the key fob questionnaire will be able to procure a fob. Please note that it takes 24 hours to get a fob after the questionnaire has been returned. We will have additional distribution times for you to retrieve your key fobs for this coming week only. Please come to the Management office to pick them up during the following days and times: Monday and Wednesday: 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM and Tuesday and Thursday from 9:00 AM to 12:00PM.
New FINANCIAL ADVISORY COMMITTEE UPDATE
Be sure to check your tower cubbies for a very informative memo from the Financial Advisory Committee. Don't forget to jot down your recommendations on the back of the 'update' and forward to Alex Kim at 1-37D.
TOWN OF GUTTENBERG PARKING
Residents can obtain temporary parking permits for guests (or contractors) for parking on the town streets by contacting the Guttenberg Town Hall at 201-868-2315. According to GPD, any car can park for 4 hours on Guttenberg streets without the required permit. Summonses are issues if the car remains parked in the street longer than 4 hours per day.
New IT'S TIME FOR TENNIS!
The tennis courts are officially open for the season! Reservations will be taken starting immediately. Remember, courts must be reserved in advance but not more than 24 hours in advance; one hour reservations for singles/two hours for doubles. The Spa will be enforcing the guest rule for the tennis courts. There is a $10.00 fee for guest usage on weekends until 2:00 PM. Anyone interested in participating in round robins or lessons, contact Cassandra Wagner at 201-854-6068 or intothecourt@aol.com. Steve Rosen's Sunday morning Hacker's League will be up and running at 9:00 AM on Courts 1 and 2 next week.

We have a new cubby! The Guttenberg Community Cubby will be used for official, non-political announcements about community programs and events that are available to all Galaxy Residents. Please take the time to look for these important notices!
New NOTICE OF REVOCATION OF RESERVED PARKING PRIVILEGES
In accordance with the terms and conditions that govern residence at the Galaxy Towers, suspension of certain rights and privileges can occur when an account is delinquent. Residents in arrears who have Reserved Parking are at risk of having their Reserved Parking privileges revoked. Those who are affected by this will be receiving notification letters from Management starting April 1, 2003.

The movie for April 11, 2003 will be Possession.
New LATIN NIGHT
Galaxy Friends Network and G-Flag are jointly sponsoring a Latin Night on Saturday, April 12, 2003 at 7:00 PM at the Colombia Caliente Restaurant, 60th Street & Park Avenue, one block from Boulevard East. It will be an evening of dinner and dancing featuring a live band, spectacular food and great company. New REVLON WALK/RUN BENEFITING CANCER RESEARCH
Please join Galaxy Residents for a lovely 5K walk/run in Central Park on May 3, 2003 as we participate in a fund raiser that benefits Cancer research and victims. FANTASY OF ARABIAN NIGHTS
The Retirees Committee will be sponsoring a Fantasy of Arabian Nights in the Spa Lounge on May 24, 2003 at 8:00 PM. The evening will feature a belly dancer, open bar, superb Middle Eastern Cuisine, dancing to a DJ and much more at a cost of $30 per person. Galaxy residents and guests 21+ years are welcome. GALAXY BOOK CLUB

ATTENTION ALL DOG OWNERS
On Thursday, April 17, 2003 between the hours of 6:30 PM and 8:30 PM, FREE RABIES SHOTS will be given to all Guttenberg dogs at the Guttenberg Community Center, 121 71st Street (between Broadway and Hudson). These shots should be given to all dogs annually.

HEALTH FAIR
The Spa will be holding its first ever Health Fair on Saturday, May 3, 2003 from 11:00AM until 3:00 PM. The Hudson County Community View will perform free blood pressure screenings, cholesterol and glucose testing; other vendors will include massage therapists, chiropractors, Feng Shui, aromatherapy, the Institute for Breast Cancer and more. All Galaxy residents and their guests are invited to attend.
