NOTICES AND ANNOUNCEMENTS

NOTICES AND ANNOUNCEMENTS

New      ELECTRICITY SHUT DOWN - TUESDAY MORNING FEB. 25th

The previously scheduled electrical outage has been re-scheduled for Tuesday, February 25, 2003.

Between the hours of 10:00am and 12:00NOON, there will be one five minute (or less)  power outage in each tower, and in the mall.   We expect that the outage will be closer to 10:00am, but are leaving a two hour window so that there are no surprises.

New      FIRE ALARM TESTING

On Monday, February 24, 2003, in connection with the design of our new Fire Safety System, our Fire Safety Engineers will be conducting various tests on our existing Fire Safety Notification System.  All throughout the day, our alarm systems will be tested and sounded.  You may hear fire alarms and test announcements.  Please disregard these alarms and do not be alarmed by these tests.  If you hear an alarm and are unsure as to the cause, you can contact your concierge for verification.  The testing will be completed by 5:00 PM.

New      SCAFFOLD DROPS

Scaffold drops to inspect our façades in connection with our exterior restoration have begun at Tower These scaffold drops are similar to window washer rigging that is seen on skyscrapers and will proceed from the top of the building to the bottom floors.   All Tower I residents are advised to close and lock their windows for the next two weeks until the Tower I has been thoroughly inspected.  You may hear banging, drilling and other noise, and, if you are home at the time, you will see workers outside your windows on these rigs.   All residents are advised to close your blinds/curtains, as we don't know the exact times that workers will move past your windows.  Work will only take place during the daylight hours.

As we move to Building 5 and Tower II, we will advise you, so that those residents will not be surprised, as the drops begin.  Weather conditions, however, keep us from being more specific about the days and times of these drops.  For example, we were scheduled to start on 2/12, but were unable to commence on 2/12 or 2/13 because of wind conditions.  As you can see, we are already off by 2 (windy) days, and we haven't even started.  Safety is everyone's utmost concern.  We will continue to contact you as the drops proceed.

IN CASE OF AN EMERGENCY CALL 911 FIRST!

For any type of life threatening emergency, call 911 first. LAST, call your concierge for help, or to advise that you have called 911.

KEY FOBS

As you are aware, we are installing a new Key fob system for access from our garage.  Once the new system is fully functional, the old key fobs will no longer allow you access from the garage.  We plan on distributing the new key fobs during the early part of March and we will keep you informed as to the dates.  If you use a key fob and have not already done so, please take the time now to complete the "Questionnaire".  Without the needed information from the 'Questionnaire', we cannot issue new key fobs and they will not be available to you during the initial distribution.  Questionnaires are available in the cubbies.
