New      GENERAL MANAGER'S STATE OF THE GALAXY MESSAGE

In the interest of saving a tree, the General Manager's State of the Galaxy message is available at the Tower desks.  Please advise the office if none are available and we will provide additional copies.

New      FIRE SAFETY INFORMATION

A letter from Susan Fitzpatrick discussing Fire Safety as well as a copy of our Certificate of Inspection from the Guttenberg  Fire Prevention Bureau is also available at your tower desks.  This letter  also contains 'what to do if' instructions from the Guttenberg Fire Department.

New      NEEDLE SAFETY

There have been several incidents where employees have been pricked by improperly disposed of needles.  If you use a hypodermic needles for any medical purpose please dispose of them in the manufacturer's suggested manner.  This is for your safety as well as that of our staff.

New SCAFFOLD DROPS

We will be commencing scaffold drops to inspect our façades in connection with our exterior restoration.  These scaffold drops are similar to the type of window washer rigging that is seen on sky scrapers and will come from the top of the building downward.  Consequently, you will be advised as soon as we have a schedule so that you will not be surprised by someone outside your windows.  We hope that this will not cause you too much of an inconvenience.

IN CASE OF AN EMERGENCY CALL 911 FIRST!

For any type of life threatening emergency, call 911 first. Then, call your concierge for help, or to advise that you have called 911.

THE QUESTIONNAIRE

In the spirit of the freshness of the New Year, we are updating our files, and embarking on some new projects.  During the next few days, you will be receiving a questionnaire about the occupancy of your apartment.  This questionnaire is for management use only, and will remain the private property of the Galaxy.   Please read the accompanying letter and fill out the questionnaire, in order to be properly listed in the directory.  Also, see below for another reason it is imperative that we receive your completed questionnaire.

KEY FOBS

We are installing a new Key Fob system to replace our aging system.  It is no longer cost effective to keep our old system on life support.  In continuation of the topic above, "The Questionnaire", if you use a key fob it is necessary to fill out the form mentioned above so that you (and those that live with you) can receive new key fobs.

HIGH SPEED INTERNET ACCESS

If you are interested in contracting for one year of high speed internet access at an approximate cost of $22.00 per month. The cost varies slightly form $19.00 to $24.00 per month depending on how many residents sign up. The rate that is quoted in the survey is not an "introductory rate" for six months, but rather will stay in effect for the length of the contract that we sign (from 1-3 years). We have not received many responses, which indicates that the issue is not worth pursuing. If you are interested in high speed internet access, please fill out the survey or leave your name with the concierge.
