The Internet Committee
by Ted Pozniakoff
The seasons keep changing and so do we! I certainly hope everyone had a great holiday
season, reunited broken ties, and are keeping their New Years resolutions. One
of them should be to visit the Galaxy Web Page more often. We have a whole new look
and feel, appropriate for the "true millennium" of 2001.
The Galaxy is a truly unique and wonderful place to live, and I feel that our web page
reflects that spirit and the great "volunteerism" that helps make the Galaxy what it is.
Just as we can't sit pat too long and must upgrade services and facilities on a regular
basis, so must the web page. So to honor the new year of 2001, we have put together web
page that shows the spirit and the look of the Galaxy. The new arrangement should allow
easier and more intuitive access to the content of our site. That means you should find
it easier and faster to find the information you want.
We are also adding more content, issues and information that many of you, the residents,
have asked for. This includes major pieces of the original incorporating documents that
are the basis laws and guidelines that govern our operations. Also included as a "new
air of openness" are the minutes from each of the Galaxy Board meetings. This is
important for us all, in that you can see what issues the "Board" discusses and the
decisions made relative to those issues.
Other things in the works are a resurrection of the "Buy and Sell" page. Our team is
looking into how to implement this service in a way that will work best for us. We want
an easy way for you, the residents, to place your ads on the web site to increase the
number of people seeing the ads, and an easy way to keep these ads current. Also important
is the issue of "feedback" from your ads, things like people responding to the ads and
being able to contact the proper person.
Well, I have to get back to the keyboard to keep our site up to date so if you have
time come by and take a look at the Galaxy Web Page at <http://www.galaxy-condo.com>.
If you are interested in helping out, you can come by one of our meetings and sit in on
the activities, or contact us by e-mail: <teddypoz@mindspring.com>, or drop a note
at the G.T.C.A. office, or simply call me, Ted Pozniakoff, T-3, 896-4473.
