Rules & Regulations
As we start the New Year, I thought it an appropriate time to review some of the basic rules that make Galaxy life more enjoyable for you and your neighbors. Please remember that rules are written for the safety, comfort and benefit of all residents.
- Please keep the public areas free from obstructions. This includes doormats, shoes, baby carriages and newspapers. If you are going away on vacation, please inform your paper delivery person not to deliver during that time. Papers left on your doorstep not only blocks the hallway but also is a sign that you are away.
- Please do not allow children to play in the public areas of the complex.
- Please do not decorate any public area of the building including the outside of your apartment door.
- Please do not attach any television antenna, satellite dish or signs to the outside of the building without express written permission from the Board of Directors.
- Please do not install any air conditioning or ventilating device in your apartment without the written permission of the Board of Directors.
- Please dispose of your garbage in a sealed bag down the chute and place cleaned recycling items in the designated bins. If you have a large or unusual item, please call your concierge to arrange for a porter to retrieve it. Please do not overload the compactor closet or place items in the public hallway, as this is not only unsightly but unsafe as well.
- Proper attire, including proper footwear, must be worn in the public areas of the complex at all times. If you are traversing to or from the Spa, please do not do so in bathing suits.
- Please keep noise within your apartment. Noises emanating from your apartment can be disturbing to your neighbors and interfere with their rights, comforts and conveniences. This includes, but is not limited to musical instruments, stereos, radios and televisions. You are also required to carpet 80% of your floor area. For purposes of this restriction, the floor area of any apartment unit shall not include that of the kitchen or bathroom(s).
- Please make sure that the Security Department has current copies of your passkeys. In the event that we need to enter your apartment in an emergency (such as a fire, flood or personal illness) we will not be forced to damage your door to gain entry. This is for your safety, security and liability.
- Please obey all Galaxy Pet Rules. The Galaxy is one of few residential communities that allows pets. Not all residents share the love and enthusiasm that pet owners have for their pets. It is the responsibility of each pet owner to observe the pet rules for the comfort and convenience of all residents.
A full set of the By-Laws, Master Deed, House Rules and Pet Rules are available for purchase in the association office at a nominal fee. Please call Marie Connolly at 453-2428 to obtain a set.
Please keep a lookout for future updates!
Thank you for the quick visit.
