The Board of Directors meets twice a month, on Thursday evenings. The "open" portion of the meeting, at which decisions are made (as opposed to the working session), starts at 9p.m. and residents are invited to attend.
As a rule, the open portion of each meeting is video-taped. The un-edited tape is broadcast on Channel .26 - our Cable TV channel, at 8:00pm on Friday, Saturday and Sunday following the meeting. (For explanation of our channel "dot 26" and actual broadcast schedule, see announcements of the Video Committee.)
The minutes of the meetings are on file at the Management Officein Tower I. In addition, copies of minutes of Board meetings since January 1997 are available on Galaxy Web.You may see them by clicking here. .
The Galaxy Towers Condominium Association is a true democracy, with each apartment entitled to one vote in the annual election of members of the Board (3 Directors are elected each year), regardless of the apartment size or location, or the amount of assessments paid for it. The nine-person Board elects the GTCA's officers (President, Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary), establishes and administers the rules and regulations intended to enable us to live together compatibly, fixes the annual Budget (which in turn determines the amount of assessments to be paid by each apartment), makes all policy and important administrative decisions, and supervises the expenditure of funds as well as the functions of our in-house management staff.
We welcome you to
the Galaxy and hope you are enjoying our Galaxy lifestyle.
The GTCA Board
of Directors are volunteers elected by condo owners to serve you.
Some
of our accomplishments in the past few years include:
Expanded gym, with new equipment
Two newly upgraded Spa exercise rooms
Newly renovated Spa Lounge
Three new meeting rooms
Three children's activity rooms
Lower taxes (saving $1 million per year for apartment owners)
We always like to hear from our fellow residents and appreciate your feedback.
If you have questions about any issues or concerns, please contact us through
