CONSIDERING A MOVE TO THE GALAXY!
On behalf of the Parents' Committee, welcome to the Galaxy. You've chosen a wonderful and unique community as your family's new home.
As fellow parents, we know how stressful and hectic moving can be. We've put together this booklet with the hope of easing your transition into the neighborhood.
The Parents' Committee is comprised of a small but very dedicated group of volunteers, parents like you and I, who work tirelessly to enhance the quality of life for all children at the Galaxy. On the next page is a listing of some of the facilities and activities available for children.
The Committee meets the first Thursday of each month at 8:00pm in the Spa Meeting Room #3. New members are always welcome.
Please take a moment to fill out the enclosed form and leave it with
your concierge so that we can put you on our mailing list to receive information
about upcoming shows, events, etc. (Please call us for the form.)

FACILITIES AND ACTIVITIES
PLAYROOMS
Tower I, 20th floor. Toys, games and books for 0-4 year olds
Tower II, 20th floor. Games and books for ages 4+
Children's Activities Room a.k.a. the "matt room" or "jumping room" is located on the Tower 3 side of the Spa (4th Floor)
Game Room. Ping pong, billiards, etc. Tower 2 side of the Spa
INDOOR AND OUTDOOR POOLS
Spa - 4th floor between Towers II and III. Pool toys are available.
PLAYGROUND, BASKETBALL AND TENNIS COURTS
Located on the S-Level. Access from the Tower III, North elevators.
MUSIC-IN-MOTION
For children under 5 years old is held in the Spa Children's Activities Room. Call the Spa receptionist for the current schedule.
CHILDREN'S MOVIES
Are shown every Thursday at 4:00pm in Spa Meeting Room #3.
GAMES
Several board games, such as chess and checkers, can be signed out at the Spa reception desk for use in the spa area.
CLASSES
For a nominal fee your child can take such classes as: Acting, Art, Ballet, Choir, Karate, Piano, Spanish and Tumble Tikes. The programs are offered on a semester basis in the Fall (Sept-Dec) and Winter (Jan-May).
PARTIES, SHOWS AND SPECIAL EVENTS
A variety of parties and events are held during the year including End of Summer, Halloween and Holiday parties. Our annual Summer Carnival is not to be missed. We also present events and shows such as petting zoos, puppet theater, sing-a-longs, crafts.
